The Principal Civil Medical Officer is the

Head of the Sanitary Department.

All Official Correspondence concerning the

Sanitary Department shall pass through hin.

An Assistant Surgeon of the Medical

Department shall be seconded to the Sanitary Department as Medical

Officer of Health.

He shall devote his time exclusively to

Sanitary work and administration and be the Chief Executive Officer

of the Sanitary Board, his duties being those specified in the

Standing Orders of the Sanitary Board, and under the Public Health

and Buildings Ordinance No. 1 of 1903.

Another of the Members of the Medical

Department shall be seconded to the Sanitary Department as Assistant

Medical Officer of Health, his duties being those specified in the

Standing Orders of the Sanitary Board, he also devoting his time

exclusively to Sanitary work.

Two additional Medical Officers for

temporary work in connection with the Special Plague Staff shall be

seconded to the Sanitary Department, their duties being defined in

the Standing Orders of the Board.
